Movie Finder
Millions of us love movies. Movies kept being made with some fantastic and others shuffled off to the video store post haste. But how can we better find movies? I mean it could be to know which of the latest releases are showing or about to be released. Or it could be when older movies are being re-run. Or it could be when movies are being shown on TV both on free to air and on pay TV. We need ways and means to become an accurate movie finder.
Let’s start with new releases and their cinema launch. Web sites, newspapers and weekly sometimes monthly magazines are all possibilities. You need to find the cinema specialist publications where movie buffs get all excited about what is about to hit our screens.

Joining a movie club or a subscription list to your local cinema is a brilliant way to discover what’s on the horizon. Cinemas plan their releases well ahead of time and just like a TV guide, you can get a heads up of which movies are soon to be screened at your favourite movie palace.
The Web can give you heaps of information
There are web sites reporting on what Hollywood is about to film, has filmed and is about to release. If you have a passion for movies, log on to one of these sites and discover what’s happening in the world of new movies. You can often watch trailers of new movies online and this is a great way to decide if what you see is what you think you’d like to see much more of.
The movie finder web sites often have gossip, interviews with the stars and director plus dates of when films are to be screened. Saving such sites under your Favourites icon can give you easy access to the sites as they are updated usually on a daily basis.
The entertainment sections in daily newspapers are a boon for any movie finder. They mightn’t give you great details about the film but certainly the screening times and cinemas are all supplied. Weekend editions of newspapers have much greater detail of films with the latest movies attracting giant ads. You can tell which films the distributors really think will make it by the size of their ads!
What about older movies?
There are times when you have a hankering for some of those movies made years ago and would love to see it again. Being a movie finder delving back into the past can be a challenge although the Web is a brilliant help in these matters.
Let’s say you can’t remember the name of the movie but know the main actors. If it’s a comedy, in a search engine you type in the words you do know and up will come some movie sites describing the movies you really want to see again.
Then it’s often possible to actually buy a copy of that older movie now released or re-released on video. The purchase price of some older shows is often way down. Perhaps that is because many of the older movies have since been posted on You Tube where you can watch them for free!
